Once upon a time, a shepherd boy lived in a peaceful village situated near a dense forest. Everyday he used to graze his flock of sheep on the green hillside. The boy was extremely mischievous and had a wicked habit of playing pranks on others.

Hearing his desperate cries, the kind-hearted villagers left their work, grabbed sticks and axes, and rushed to rescue the boy. But when they reached the hill, they found no wolf. Instead, they saw the boy rolling on the grass laughing uncontrollably. The villagers felt thoroughly deceived and returned to their fields in anger.

A few days later, the boy repeated the same trick. Once again the innocent villagers hurried to save him, only to be ridiculed and mocked. They solemnly warned him never to joke about danger.
