Subject: Prayer for establishing an English Language and Debate Club on campus.
Sir,
We, the students of your venerable institution, beg most respectfully to submit that English is the undisputed international language of commerce, scientific research, and higher academic pursuit. While our regular syllabus focuses heavily on theoretical grammar and reading comprehension, students receive almost no practical opportunity to develop spoken fluency, pronunciation, and communicative competence.
Consequently, many brilliant students feel diffident and falter during job interviews, public presentations, and international scholarship examinations. The establishment of an English Language Club will provide a vibrant, interactive forum where students can engage in weekly impromptu debates, vocabulary games, extempore speeches, and audio-visual listening drills under the guidance of our English professors.
We, therefore, humbly pray and hope that you would kindly grant us permission to establish the English Language Club and allocate Room 204 with a multimedia projector for our weekly afternoon sessions.
